Data used in the decision engine
Questionnaire answers are processed in your browser to create the shortlist. Scores, reasons, cautions and evidence links are shown for free after you complete the questions—no email gate is required to read those results. Answers are sent to Byrvia only when you optionally submit an email to save a workspace, receive a magic-link sign-in, or request a disclosed formation introduction.
Data in an optional unlock / workspace save
If you choose to save a workspace, we store your email address, questionnaire answers, shortlist, scores and cautions as they stood when saved, consent record, reference, submission time and review status. If you typed a name, country or note, we store those too. We use this information to operate your workspace and, if you ask, a disclosed formation introduction.
Do not send passport copies, national identifiers, tax numbers, bank statements, client confidential information or credentials.
Browser storage on this device
Directory checklist progress may be stored in your browser’slocalStorage. Compare selections may be stored insessionStorage. That data stays on your device unless you clear site data; it is separate from a signed-in workspace account.
Accounts, sessions and magic links
A workspace account is created when you unlock a shortlist. Sign-in uses a one-time link emailed to that address. We store a hash of the link and, after you sign in, a hash of a session token. Raw links and session secrets are not kept. The session cookie is a first-party HttpOnly cookie named byrvia_session, set for the byrvia.com origin, with SameSite=Lax. It is not used for advertising. Sessions last up to 30 days unless you sign out sooner.
Magic-link emails are sent through our email provider when that provider is configured. The message contains a sign-in URL only. It does not include your questionnaire answers.
Referral links
Clicking a disclosed partner link takes you to that provider. If you are signed in, we store the jurisdiction, destination and time of that click against your account so a later formation can be attributed without third-party analytics. We do not sell the shortlist or questionnaire answers, and we do not send your answers to a formation agent, bank or adviser unless you ask Byrvia for an introduction.
Pilot preflight requests by email
If you request the optional research pilot, your email reaches Byrvia with the general facts you choose to send. We use it to assess the research scope and reply. The pilot page asks for tax-residence country, client country and a generic payment obstacle; please do not include contracts, client identities, account details, identity documents or other confidential data. A price and payment method are agreed only after the scope is confirmed.
Legal basis and retention
We process a submitted unlock and workspace account with your consent and to take steps you request. Unused unlock records that never become a workspace account are deleted within 90 days. Workspace accounts, the latest shortlist and partner-click records stay until you ask us to delete them, or for up to 12 months after the last sign-in if the account is unused, unless a longer period is required by law.
Infrastructure and sharing
The site and application database run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes network and infrastructure data as our service provider.
Cookies and analytics
Byrvia does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or third-party analytics. The only first-party cookie Byrvia sets is the workspace session cookie described above. Cloudflare may process limited security and delivery logs as part of operating the service.
Your choices
Ask to access, correct or delete your stored answers and account by emailing contact@byrvia.com. Include the unlock reference if available. We may need to verify the request through the email address you used.
